Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The Upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools to boost their level. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, dependent on the item upgrader mod type.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons, armors and gathering tools in order to increase attributes bonuses or other effects while using the equipment. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade components require that the item level upgrade being upgraded is above a specific level. Certain upgrade items come with special visual effects that are visible when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought by Karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and received as rewards.

There are different upgrade components, each with distinct bonuses. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions are able to be applied to any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other kinds of upgrade component. Infusions can be found in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enrichments are utilized for certain ascended back items. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, however doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be inserted in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will show their name in the item's hover display, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their names to the end of the equipment name (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item upgrade will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add decorative and functional elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures, fractions or ornaments, as well registered trademark symbols, ellipses and swashes as well as swashes. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters, as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols, as well as characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. It also comes with up to four secondary stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost which is multiplied by other bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.

Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate them. This will bring up a window that displays the Glyphs that are available to you. Note that only the right kind of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for, as every weapon, jewelry or armor piece has distinct sets of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more challenging the dungeon is, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it can be upgraded via the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

After a Glyph reaches the desired level, you can activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and will also boost other nodes within its radius on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed where they will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. The glyphs that are rare could offer double bonuses when certain conditions are met which is why they're worth checking out for.

Click the cycle widget to alter the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in different fonts. You can narrow the list of glyphs further by choosing an option below "Entire Font": for instance, punctuation shows only punctuation glyphs; Math Symbols reduces the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is a process in which you create a new account to give yourself more chances to access an item or character you are interested in. This can be done to aid in your progress to higher levels or to gain better loot, like a better weapon for your current character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like regardless of their abilities. It could be that they like the design or the personality of the character.

You should ensure that you make clean changes every time you roll back. You should verify locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a Core dev check. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue with a plain diff (see What is an interdiff? ).

Rerolls may take days or weeks depending on how lucky you are. During this time, it is recommended to avoid optional enemy camps to cut down on time. You should also avoid re-doing quests that you can complete later on in the game. This will save you time and energy.

When rerolling, it's important to be aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to improve your character's appearance and strength. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. Additionally, it is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the upgrade system.

Rerolling might not be an absolute requirement however it can be a way to increase the chances of acquiring an item or character. It can be used to determine which character is the best or to play around with different playstyles and builds.

Sets

A set is an object collection with 2 common attributes (like the number or eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets permit operations like union, intersection and distinction.

When you upgrade a set item, it is an upgraded version that is better than the previous version. This means that the weapon and armor will have a higher defense value and less requirement for strength.

Upgrading is an excellent way to bring popular single-set items up to level with their higher-tiered set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense by 217 up to 321 and reduce the strength and requirements for level to an feasible range.

However, it's important to note that not all set items are candidates for upgradation. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzlers are exceptional in their own way and don't require upgrading. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are frequently used may benefit from an upgrade to improve their value. For these types of items, it could be worth the extra expense to upp them.
