World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item upgrader mod. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate possibility of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 whenever you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrade to put Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance an Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can become more expensive even if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item upgrades can be very valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item upgrader mod it is given the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item upgrader kit (just click the next article) is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons.
